Our photographers bring the camp experience to life through their cameras. The Media department works together to create photo albums filled with happy memories for each camper. As well as capture all the camp feelings.

 

Photographer Job Description

 

Age Requirement: Photographers and Videographers must be 16 years or older.  

Reports To: Media Manager during the day, Staff Coach at night.  

Who You Serve: The whole Camp David ministry.  

Responsibilities: Take photos and videos of the camp experience.  

Main Goal: Capture special memories for campers to take home, so they can show their families the fun times and new friendships they made. Additionally, provide photos for promotional materials for Camp David.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

- Spend time in personal prayer and complete your daily staff devotional.

- Attend morning staff meetings to stay updated on daily activities.

- Be prepared for each event with your camera and plan how to capture it. Get group pictures on Monday afternoon, as well as candid shots of staff interacting with campers.

- Take individual photos of each camper during events like horseback riding, swimming, birthday parties, field games, craft time, and hangout sessions.

- Ensure all pictures and videos are appropriate.

- Recharge your camera batteries between events so they’re always ready to go!

- Regularly download photos onto the camp computer for the photo album team to use.

- Complete a Camp Evaluation on Friday afternoon.
